During the install of HydraCAD V56/57/58, the user is greeted with the message below.  Following the both sets of instructions of opening and closing AutoCAD, and running a repair of AutoCAD do not make a difference.  You'll still get the error message.

V56 = R23.X
V57 = R24.X
V58 = R25.X

V57 install will say;

Neither AutoCAD 2021, 2022, 2023 nor 2024 found (missing registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R24.X).

Please install it before re-running this install

During the install of HydraCAD the following message(s) pop up;

  

"Unable to Create HydraCAD Shortcut" "Unable to find registry,"

"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AutoCAD.Drawing.#\protocol\StdFileEditing\server"

The version of AutoCAD will determine the number following the word 'Drawing' in the registry path.

AutoCAD 2022 = 24.1

AutoCAD 2021 = 24.0

AutoCAD 2020 = 23.1

AutoCAD 2019 = 23.0

AutoCAD 2018 = 22.0

"Unable to find default profile" "The default profile 'HydraCADVersion56' 'HydraCADVersion57' does not exist.

When trying to edit the company information by going to the menu [Utilities|Alter Company Information], you get the error saying, "Error trying to edit company information", Please get a copy of {\...\Company1.dat} onto this computer".

When attempting to open HydraVIEW, nothing happens.  Go to the Windows START button, scroll down to the letter H, select Hydratec v50 Software, then select HydraVIEW.  It should open to a blank job, but if nothing happens, see below for the possible solution.

You can also manually attempt to navigate to this folder, then double-click HydraVIEW.EXE;

"C:\HES\Common\Ver50\HydraVIEW.EXE"

When attempting to process a stock list, nothing happens and HydraVIEW doesn't open.

You can test this by trying to manually open stand-alone HydraVIEW.  Go to the Windows START button, scroll down to the letter H, select Hydratec v50 Software, then select HydraVIEW.  It should open to a blank job, but if nothing happens, see below for the possible solution. 


You can also manually attempt to navigate to this folder, then double-click HydraVIEW.EXE then double-click it.

Coupling do not show, display, print, plot and are not visible in any fashion in plot views with display detail set to coarse or medium.  Was reported by Davis as :  the couplings on long runs of pipe don’t show up in our plot views. No matter if we use medium or course detail level.
