AutoCAD Based Installation (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Hydra_DAO_Install.EXE Error Type: Error 1935

Description:

When trying to install the Hydra_DAO_Install.exe based on this HydraCARD;

You get this error;

Error 1935 An error occurred during the installation of assembly VC90.MFCLOC

Followed by this one;

An error occurred during setup

Installation failed.

Solutions:

Cause:

Unknown but end-user had 4 types of antivirus installed and we're unsure if the Microsoft.NET Framework was installed on the computer in the first place. 

When checking in Programs and Features, we could not find any trace of Microsfot .NET Runtime - 6.0.20(x64) [current as of 1/11/24 GAB]
Solution:

Not sure what fixed it, but these are the steps which were taken.

 

1. Powershell was opened as Admin and SFC /scannow was run.  Some errors were found and fixed

 

2. All flavours of anti-virus were either diabled or uninstalled.

 

3. Download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework

Use this link dotnet-framework or Google "microsoft.net framework download windows 11" to find a Microsoft link to download and install.

 

4. Turn the computer OFF then ON again.  NOT A RESTART

 

5. Re-install the Hydra_DAO_Install.exe found in HydraCARD #864

 

6. Re-activate your anti-virus
