See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011185721033.aspx solution 1 when the message is on the screen Place the original installation cd for office, or a restoration CD in the CD drive and follow the directions on the screen Solution2 Open a Microsoft Office application and pick Detect and Repair form the Help pull down. Solution3 Uninstall the application that was installed on the computer which caused the problem with the *.MSI file. The software would have been installed using a microsoft installer.
