Standalone HydraCALC (Location)

Button: Calculate Error Type: Runtime Error

Description:

Runtime error 70 permission denied

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Windows glitch
Solution:

Reboot machine (not a restart, turn it off then on again).
2.
Cause:

 Misc_Func.exe may still be running from an earlier crash.
Solution:

 Open the "task manager" (CTRL+ALT+DEL), switch to Processes tab to see if "Misc_Func.exe" is running. Then close all instances.
3.
Cause:

Caused when another calculation results window is still open but not closed and the user closes the black icon on the taskbar.
Solution:

If you're seeing a black icon on your taskbar but no results window, this means the results window is offscreen.



Press ALT+SPACEBAR 

Press M 

Press RT.ARROW key

Then nudge your mouse and the window should re-appear.

Cause:

HydraCALC folders may be set to 'read-only'
Solution:

In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\HES\HydraCALC\Ver50

Right-click \Ver50, select PROPERTIES

Click the 'read-only' box until it is empty, click OK

Make sure to apply to subfolders and files

You only need to do this once because if you check again, the 'read-only' box will have the box reappear.
5.
Cause:

Bad water supply information.  Likely bad pump data
Solution:

a) delete the water supplies completely, then save and close the calc

b) reboot the computer 

c) open the calc and re-insert your water supplies
