Error placing Reference Points or Demand Area annotation.: System NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. nodes reference finish

Solutions:

Cause:

Cannot insert demand annotation or reference points. After error "ALL REF POINTS" button from ribbon does not insert nodes.

Solution:

Error was caused by several pipes in the system with open ends. Customer capped all open pipes, ran the calculation process again and was able to complete the process. The demand annotation and reference (node) points inserted properly.
