AutoCAD Based Opening a Drawing (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Description:

When opening AutoCAD, you get an error saying "a software problem has AutoCAD to close unexpectedly"

Upon reviewing the file it's crashed on, it shows HCAD_MAKEFIGHANGERLIST as the culprit

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Unknown

Solution:

Likely due to HydraLIST being partially installed or incomplete database files, or HES folders marked as 'read-only'

Download, extract, and re-install HydraLIST.  If asked during the install to MODIFY/REPAIR/REMOVE, choose the REPAIR option.

Verify the all folders and sub-folders in HES are not marked as read-only.  You only need to set it once.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update x86

3. Go to your Downloads folder, find the file and right-click and ‘run as admin’

4. Choose REPAIR (see image below).  You should get a message saying it was successfully repaired.

5. Reboot if required.

3.
Cause:

In the case of Autocad 2025 and Autocad 2026, if the Dao32Server service is not registered or installed properly, it will cause Cad to crash upon opening. In other editions of Autocad an Unhandled Exception message will be displayed and autocad won't crash.

Solution:

Hydracad is crashing without displaying errors. There are a couple of potential causes.  The solutions are listed in Hydracard 1452 and Hydracard 1453.
