All the valves listed are red and can't be imported

Cause:

In the options, the box for 'Use local data path' is checked 

If you're planning to work on your model offline, putting files in the data path of add device means you can use the tool without and internet connection.

However, if you haven't planned for it, it also stops looking for valves on the cloud and will cause the tool to find no infomation for any valves and devices not in the specified data path. 
Solution:

At the top right of the window, select Tools then Options

Uncheck the option for 'Use local data path'
