AutoCAD Based 3D Modeling (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Description:

When attempting to create a 3D model, you get the error; Please switch to System Model to Annotate Drops and Sprigs plus

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

at HCADexports.RevitConversion.create_hydrapipes_from_db()

at HCADexports.RevitConversion.create_hydrafittings_from_db(List'1 pipes, List'1 heads)

 

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Bad system boundary
Solution:

The system boundary drawn was setup as non-rectangular and two points crossed over each other. 

 

Delete and redraw the boundary or fix the boundary by moving the grips so the line does not intersect itself.
2.
Cause:

Unknown
Solution:

Save the drawing, close it and AutoCAD.  Re-open the drawing, erase the existing boundary, redraw it and try again.
