Button: Hangers Function: Pick Point

Description:

No error message but command simply stops after one brace...

 

When running the hanger command for sway bracing, it will only add one brace.

  • If we have multiple pipes selected it will only add the sway brace to the first selected pipe.
  • When trying to run the command without pipe selected, the command will only run on the first click.

Solutions:

Cause:

Certain view settings are blocking the proper operation of this command
Solution:

If you can only get one brace at a time then almost assuredly that's because it is failing while aligning/locking the brace to the pipe.

Things to double check are that in the view you are using :

  • ensure that it is in fine detail and
  • in visibility/graphics overrides, find pipes and click the plus sign to expand it and ensure centerlines are turned on.

One more thing to double check.

Do you have Section Views set to automatically have a template applied when you create a new one?

If so, I would recommend turning that off, or setting it to not force a detail level.
