Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Import from the latest Toolbox Error Type: Command Failure for External Command

Description:

Revit could not complete the external command.... Revit.Exceptions.CorruptModelException

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

When importing from the latest toolbox, the download got interrupted and caused the file to be corrupted.

Solution:
  • Navigate to the Toolbox families location in your install drive, typically C:\HES\Hydratec for Revit\Data\Families\2020 (2020 could be different depending on Revit version)

  • Add .bak to the end of the most recent file that's name begins with ToolBox.
  • Rerun the Import from Latest Toolbox command.
  • If that was successful, the renamed toolbox file in that folder can be safely deleted.

2.
Cause:

There was a version of HydraCAD for Revit that downloaded corrupted files when attempting to Import from latest Toolbox.

Solution:

Download the program update to version 22.0.003 or later that solves this error, more information about updating can be found here.

3.
Cause:

Unknown cause.

Contact Revit support at revitsupport@hydracad.com so we can fix the error you're encountering.

Solution:

In Revit, use File... Open to the filepath of the toolbox above and open an earlier version of the toolbox project, then use copy and paste to take whatever you need out of that toolbox into your own project.
