Standalone HydraLIST (Location)

Error Type: Runtime Error

Description:

While doing any sort of editing of the stock list, a random 'run-time error 3040', Disk I/O error during read will pop up, then when clicking OK, HydraLIST will close.  On some occasions, all data will be lost, other times, no data is lost.

Solutions:

Cause:

1. More than likely, the .HLF being worked with is on a network location.  The file is in use at the same moment HydraLIST is trying to get to it.  When HydraLIST can’t read/write to it, it throws this error. 

2. If the file is on your local drive, you may have ‘real time scanning’ turned on by your anti-virus application, therefore having the file in use when HydraLIST needs it.  
 
Solution:

1. If this is the case, move the file to your local hard drive, then work with it there for a while.  If you don’t experience a problem in that time, then we know it’s a lag or glitch in the network connection causing the problem.

2. Depending on your AV, you may be able to whitelist .HLF files so the AV doesn’t tie it up while HydraLIST needs it.
