AutoCAD Based 3D Modeling (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: System Boundary Error Type: Fatal Error

Description:

When trying to insert a System Boundary, the user gets these messages.

 

Solutions:

Cause:

Unknown cause but possibly due to a layer issue.  When the layer properties windows was viewed in the bad drawing, the descriptions for the deflines were missing (see left image).  After purging then rebuilding the layers, the descriptions were there (see right image).

 
Solution:

1. Run the AutoCAD PURGE command, making sure to purge nested items.

2. Run the RBL command to rebuild the HydraCAD layers.

Save the drawing then try to reinsert the system boundary.
