AutoCAD Based Piping (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Line Error Type: No connectable heads

Description:

No connectable heads message comes up, even when there are obviously heads that can be connected. Can also be error stating Please re-select line away from other lines

Solutions:

Cause:

Unruly or distant objects causing the program to not zoom properly when AutoLining.

Testable by doing a Zoom Object (Z enter, O enter) and selecting an object. If you end up off in space or far away from that object, that's what's going on

Delete the undesirable objects, which may not be visible and may be damaged. Blog post explaining such strategies:

This one worked for my customer:

 

  1. Type in ERASE
  2. Hit CTRL+A to select everything in the current space of the drawing, seen and unseen
  3. Holding down the SHIFT button, grab what you want to keep. This will remove them from the selection set Erase will act upon. The remaining objects may or may not be visible
  4. Press Enter
