AutoCAD Based Display (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Error Type: Bad Argument

Description:

Trying the DDL command gives the error; 

Usage: (acad_strlsort <list of strings>)

Error bad argument type: consp nil

Cause:

AutoCAD 2025/2026 was updated to 2025.1.4 or 2026.1.2
Solution:

What not to do?

 

  • Do not update or install to 2025.1.4 or 2026.1.2 
  • There is no need to uninstall HydraCAD or AutoCAD

 

What to do?

 

  • Install and use 2024 as that will not be affected and it is the most solid version
  • Install HydraCAD v57.08 and update to v57.09


This does NOT work:

Autodesk says they provide an option to download the original/pre-updated version.

After installing "the old" version, upon opening AutoCAD, it still showed 2026.1.2
