Revit Based All (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Setup

Description:

No error, but after clicking Setup, Revit freezes / stops working, and nothing else is able to be selected.

Solutions:

Cause:
  1. An error message box is meant to appear, but it's hidden behind the Revit window,
  2. And, the mdbtrans.mdb file located in <install-drive-letter>\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\AutoListElements\Data\Setup is corrupted.

Note: Replace <install-drive-letter> with the drive your Hydratec for Revit software is installed on, typically C:\

Solution:

To get Revit unstuck to fix this issue, alt tab to the hidden notification and click the window from your taskbar, shown below:

If you aren't able to close the error message that way, open task manager and end the task under Apps called "32 Bit Com Server" or similar.

Once that is finished, and the buttons in Revit are able to be selected again, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to its file path <install-drive-letter>:\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\AutoListElements\Data\Setup\mdbtrans.mdb and delete the file.
  2. After it's deleted, inside Revit, press the Setup button from the HydraLIST Ribbon
  3. You should now see this message:
  4. Click OK. The 'New Process Database Available!' button should appear in the top left, right beside the Setup button
  5. Press that button and it will install the most up-to-date version of the mdbtrans.mdb file
