Button: All Ref Points

Description:

When I use Pretty Sprinklers, all the nodes that were attached to my sprinklers when using All Ref Points disappeared. 
When trying to get them back by re-running All Ref Points, they don't reappear.

Solutions:

Cause:

An issue occurred where reference were placed on 2 different types of fittings. The program only expects one type to be used for Pretty Sprinklers, so it ignored the other. 


It is somewhat rare but possible that the Hydraulic reference points belong to Sprinklers, they usually belong to the red couplings hosting the sprinklers.

Revit resists placing two different tags on the same object so if the Hydraulic Ref Points are on a view associated with the sprinklers, the pretty pipe routine will replace those tags with the pretty sprinkler tags.
Solution:

To fix this issue, start with a view with no sprinkler tags.

  • Use All Ref Points to add Hydraulic Reference Points
  • Select all instances of Reference points in view
  • Select the Eyeglasses icon at the bottom bar, and Temporary Hide all Hydraulic Ref Points

  • Use Pretty Sprinklers to add pretty sprinkler tags
  • Reset Temporary Hide with the bottom option for the image above
