AutoCAD Based 3D Modeling (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
When raising to 3D, AutoCAD crashes with no error, no warning, it just closes.
You can test this by closing all open drawings then starting a new drawing using the Hydratec template, "Hydracad Imperial Default".
Draw one pipe 10' long (LN command).
Place a length & 2" diameter on it (SZP command)
Place a 10' AFF elevation mark on it (AFF command)
Start the process of raising to 3D (S3D command). It will then crash out without warning around step 2 (something about sprinkler heads).
Synology Drive Client software is running in the background and blocking/locking some file/files needed to raise to 3D, then causing AutoCAD to crash. At this time it's unknown which files are being blocked/locked.
Check the Windows Task Manager for a file called cloud-drive-daemon.exe and End Task it.
Try the S3D process again.
We're not famiilar with this synching application so you'll have to figure a way to turn it off or have it ignore the HES folder or only have it backup/synchronize calc or stocklist files only.
