Security and Licensing HydraKEY (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Using Error Type: Security Error

Description:

Error Writing to the Subscription Registry.

Solutions:

Cause:

There is an error writing to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER plain text entry for one or more of your subscriptions.  This info is used to populate the subscription grid in HydraKEY. 

Potentially something is blocking HydraKEY's ability to access the registry.
Solution:

Make your User Account Control Settings less restrictive. 

Close HydraKEY and reopen it by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Open as Administrator"

 

The error message after "Error Writing to the Subscription Registry: " may give a hint to the nature of the problem.
