Button: Resize Diameters Error Type: Command Failure for External Command

Description:

Revit could not complete the external command... System.ArgumentException

 

 
 

Solutions:

Cause:

When working inside of a Revit project that has not been saved yet, running resize diamaters to resize pipe can cause this error to appear. 
Solution:

Saving this project to a file, then rerunning the resize diameters command, will cause this error to go away. 

In Revit, go to File, Save As or select the floppy disk icon on the action bar in the top left. Choose a save location and save the project. 

After the project has been saved, this error should disappear.
