Security and Licensing Entitlement (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Error Type: Fingerprint

Description:

When attempting to activate an Entitlement you get the error;

System.Invalid.OperationException: Failed to generate Fingerprint

at HCADLicense.Form1.activate(String product_key, String user_token)
at HCADLicense.Form1.btnAuthorize_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

 

 

Solutions:

Cause:

Unsure but possibly due to old version of HCADLicense.exe
Solution:

When "C:\HES\Common\License Activation\  HCADLicense.exe" is open, verify you're on version 10.2022.10.004 or newer.  

 

Even if you have the version noted, download this .ZIP file linked below, extract it, then run the application (.EXE) file after it's extracted, this will replace all necessary files.  \

You will be asked to enter your name, company, and email address.
