Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Description:

No error, but the command takes a long time to start. 

Solutions:

Cause:

The program is unnecessarily checking for a physical hardware lock to verify your software authorization. The standard software installation will include drivers for a hardware lock. 

Solution:

Verify you do not require a hardware lock for any piece of software (For example, HydraCAD for AutoCAD). 

If you do not require one, delete the hardware lock drivers.

To remove the drivers, go to Windows' add or remove programs feature by searching for 'Add or remove programs' in the windows searchbar. When that window is open, search for 'Sentinel' and remove the Sentinel Protection Installer program. 

 

If this fixes your problem in Revit, but now prevents you from using other Hydratec software (For example, HydraCAD for AutoCAD) then this solution does not apply to you, and you will need to reinstall these hardware lock drivers.
