Revit Based HydraCALC (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Hydraulic Calculations Function: Continue

Description:

Step 2.3 - just hangs or seems extremely slow

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Pipe Type mapping is such that all piping is defined as mains.  Specifically, in an ESFR system, it is not uncommon to have 2 1/2" or even 3" lines.  Typically, the Hcad2-Lines-Welded pipe type is mapped to Lines up to 2" , Mains up to 4" but that causes the lines to be set up in the calc as mains and the input reorganization get totally confused.

Solution:

Be sure to map all the pipe types so that the program can properly identify lines and mains.   ie Make sure that the Max Size for the line pipe type is 2 1/2" or 3" for an ESFR system.  Also don't forget to make sure the Max Size for the maine pipe type id big enough ie 6" or 8" or maybe even 10" for an ESFR systeme types to account for the large size lines.

2.
Cause:

Your HydraCALC for Revit software is not up to date.

Solution:

Ensure that your standalone HydraCALC software version is at least version 55 or higher. To check your software version, use the Launch HydraCALC button from Revit. Click the help menu, then select "About HydraCALC". This will then show you your software version. Make sure it says version 50.55... or higher.

If your software is out of date, download, extract and run the update located in our HydraCALC Updates sharefile folder. Here is a link to that folder that contains the lastest update executable: https://hydratec.sharefile.com/d-s50ca7979c5c942be8903379455e185a9
