AutoCAD Based Launching HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Error Type: Unhandled Exception

Description:

Soon after installing HydraCAD, upon opening it you get an Unhandled Exception error.

 

The component 'Autodesk.AutoCAD.StatusBar.ContextMenuHost' does not have a resource identified by the URI '/AcWindows;component/features/statusbar/contextmenuhose.xaml'

Solutions:

Cause:

Unknown.  Has only happened to a handful of users over the past few months as of this writing.  Rare occurrence.
Solution:

Unknown which step solves the problem, but these were the actions taken and the issue was resolved;

 

1. Using the Windows Control Panel and Programs/Features, run a REPAIR of AutoCAD

 

2. From the START menu of Windows, go to AutoCAD and use the tool to Reset Settings to Default.  There's no need to backup anything.

 

3. In a drawing, go to [Tools|Options] or type in OP.  Go to the PROFILES tab, and create a new profile called HydraCADVersion56 or HydraCADVersion57 depending on your currently installed HydraCAD version.  From here on in, this will be referred to as HydraCADVersion57.  Make sure it is your current profile.

 

4. Go to the FILES tab and add the following folders and files;

After clicking APPLY then OK, you may get another error, but close out of AutoCAD and re-open it using the HydraCAD desktop icon.  It should work now.
