AutoCAD Based Calculations (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
After running the AutoCALC process on a long grid system, you realize some of the gridlines in the middle didn't get picked up.
Very long grid mains create a pressure balance on both ends of each gridline, usually somewhere in the middle.
Therefore no water is flowing through these pipes. The AutoCALC process does not need to include these pipes in the calculation
This is normal behaviour. Nothing is wrong.
This will happen if you don't place HYD (magenta) reference points ahead of time and rely on the system to node your points for you. If you add the nodes (as we recommend), this won't happen. Use the tool 'Rapid Reference Points' and make sure to place nodes at the top and bottom of the riser nipples.
If this does not work, you can add a flowing head to each of the missing grid lines and calc it that way. Once in the calcs, during the AutoCalc process, run the calcs and bring the resulting ref points back to the drawing.
Then, go into HydraCALC standalone from the desktop and remove the k-factors for each of the added heads.
