Description:

Trying the SAVE or QSAVE or SAVE AS command in AutoCAD fails

"One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created."

Solutions:

Cause:

3rd party objects were inserted while AutoCAD's current layer was a sensitive Hydratec layer, so the object had a footprint in our layer. The layer that the block resides (the non-Hydratec layer) was then frozen ane the drawing raised to 3D.

Solution:

Since the layer(s) may be difficult to find, we suggest thawing all layers then trying the save again.

At that point, run the PURGE command and see if purging out any autosaved blocks (marked by A$C...) helps the problem go away. Make sure to mark 'Purge nested items' then click 'Purged Checked Items'
