Solutions:

Cause:

When defining a new sprinkler and the project already has a family of type base_xxxx  you get an error because the program is trying to load that from the disk drive.  This example is for an Upright so we're looking for base_upright.   HSW, PEN, Concealed are similar.
Solution:

find the base_xxx  familiy in the project browser and delete the base_xxxx family

from your project and try again.  There's also a video for this:
