AutoCAD Based Launching HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
Unable to find Default Profile:
The profile specified as the default AutoCAD profile does not exist. Open AutoCAD, go to Options... <<Unnamed Profile>>...
1. Profile recorded as the (Default) is missing
2. Bad registry entry
1. Open AutoCAD, go to Tools|Options and select the PROFILES tab. Create a new profile called;
<<Unnamed Profile>>, (include all < & > signs), make it current and delete the other profiles listed. Click OK and close Acad. Continue with the install.
-or-
Use REGEDIT to steer down to the folder seen in the image at left in the CAUSE screen. If <<Unnamed Profile>> exists in the branch below Profiles, right-click on is to Rename and hit CTRL+C to Copy the name. Then, go up to Profiles key itself, double-click on the (Default) key and paste the <<Unnamed Profile>> in there. Continue with the install.
2. The Acad installation created an empty folder of PROFILE names.
Using REGEDIT, go to…
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R21.0
Under the key you'll likely see two sub folders;
\ACAD-E001
\ACAD-0001:409
E001 *should* only have one folder called 'INSTALL', yet on a computer with this error, there was also a folder called 'PROFILES', which was empty.
Under E001-409 there should be **many** folders including PROFILES. If this is the case, delete the **empty** PROFILES folder in E-001 then restart the installation;
\ACAD-E001\*~~PROFILES~~*
