AutoCAD Based Calculations (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
Step 2.3 - After one pass through calculations Miscfunc hangs....
Also possibly "Hydraulic Engine not responding" and a "Runtime Error 62 input past end of file"
Cause:
1. Reference points for pump were inserted backwards, i.e. PI is where PO should be and vice-versa
4. 5x.07 could have messed this up
5. In a grid system (and maybe a tree), improperly defined line_main Hydrapipes. This is caused by a side outlet off the main going up to a bullhead tee with one side of the branch line doubling back over the main
6. Main ends at a tee with two lines
7. Bad Calc fitting in drawing
8.Corrupted Arm Over Layer (SPRKDAT4)
9. Inside Hose block (+GPM) inserted between Pump and City Water Supply
10. User drew all the grid lines in the SPRKDAT1 layer
11. More than one type of sprinkler head flowing in the remote area
12. RN types set to Mains most commonly caused by user putting all lines in the SPRKDAT1 layer, and changing the lines back to the correct layer
13. Invalid K factor in sprinkler definition, such as "k14"
14. System Boundary (or boundaries) does not include a continuous path from the source to the flowing heads
15. There is no continuous path from the source to the flowing heads in the remote area
Solution:
1. Delete and reinsert water supply, put reference points in the right location
4. Add a System Boundary and select that to run it thru
5. The line for the side outlet should be in the mains layer for the system to model properly. Once the system is in a 3D model, change the properties of the side outlet Hydrapipe from Main to Line then immediately calculate that area without going back to 2d
6. Insert a cap so there is a cross and not a tee
7. Remove Calc fitting
8. Change lines in SPRKDAT4 layer to SPRKDAT2 (should be fixed on next Hydracalc update after 4/25/13)
9. Only outside hose demands are allowed between the Pump and City Water Supply. Erase the hose block and add it in HydraCALC.
10. Make sure all branchlines/gridlines are drawn in SPRKDAT2
11. Redefine heads to make sure they were created properly
(i) Close the 'AutoCalc' setup window (ii) In Hcad, replace the sprinklers so ALL flowing sprinklers are the **same** block. (iii) run AutoCalc again. When you get into HydraCALC, fix the density/k-factor/area/pressures to match the original sprinkler values. (iv) When you get back to HydraCAD, make sure to reset the sprinkler heads back to their original blocks. This issue only happens occasionally when sidewalls are involved but has happened with uprights. [GAB 6/26/15]
12. Change the RN on the mains to be a "line" type
13. Redefine sprinkler - NO LETTERS ALLOWED in K-factor field
14. Adjust the system boundary to get all the pipe inside the boundary or add a new boundary around the pipe that was missed
15. Add pipe or connect pipe for a continuous path from the source to the flowing heads in the remote area. Use the WMD command to check
Heads at negative elevations. For now, change the elevations to be positive and correct the calcs later. Mike will fix the code at some point
Change heads to positive elevation
Jumps are backwards - should go in direction of flow from system source. Jumps for area being calculated is not labeled for that area. (i.e. calculating area 2 and jump is inserted for area 1) OR Jump put in backwards
Redo jumps properly
Vertical Pipe has a negative length
Examine elevations affecting riser nipples and fix as necessary
User had 'first node' in Calc Setup window set as a non-numeric value
First node must be set to an unused, numeric value. [GAB 9/19/18]
The drawing has been corrupted. This can be seen when the handle recorded in the ophead has more than four characters
Start a new drawing and retag all flowing heads
A jump is ending where another one starts or there is on a vertical pipe
This can not be done.
