"Calculation failed for an unknown reason" OK

Process Error Hydcalc

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

The node used as the source doesn't exist in the list of nodes entered into the calculation

Solution:

Make sure the node you're using in as your Source Point exists in your list of nodes for the calcuation

2.
Cause:

User had a city source AND a pump. The two points for the pump inlet and outlet were connected, AND they were connected in reverse order (ie. pump inlet > pump outlet)

Solution:

Do NOT connect the pump inlet and outlet nodes to each other.  Place PO on a line by itself to designate its elevation.

3.
Cause:

User had two underground loops and the nodes were arranged so there were many negative flows.

Solution:

Rearrange node points so it's a natural flow from demand back to source.  Reverse node postions between Node1 <> Node2 as necessary.

Also, make sure your source point is the last point entered in the input.
