Solutions:

Cause:

The calculation results show negative flow or flow backwards through a check valve in a looped system. Pressure difference should close the valve on one side of the loop forcing a single supply.

Solution:

A feature in the program allows you to input a 1< or a 1> in the Fitting Column input with a check valve or backflow device. The pointer should indicate the required direction of flow. When using this symbol in the input the program will display a message that the flow is the wrong direction in that segment of pipe. "BACKFLOW THROUGH CHECK VALVE" The designer must then disconnect one side of the loop supply and feed from only one side.
