Cause:

When in the Pipe Model Settings window (Setup window in Navis toolkit), the user cleared the text box for "Layer Name prefix"

Solution:

The program needs a prefix for all the new layers in the persistent model therefore *something* needs to be in the Layer Name prefix textbox.
