Description:

1. Bad PRETTYPIPES.DAT file

2. corrupt xrefs

3. Irregular linetypes in the drawing.

Solutions:

Solution:

1. Browse to C:\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\DATA\Setup and delete "prettypipes.dat" (gma04/13/16)

2. Detach all the xrefs and try pretty pipes again, it this works , Recover the main drawing and all xrefs, pretty pipes should work now (gma 5/3/16)

3. Purge all unused linetypes, check the box for "Automatically purge orphaned data". If PURGE is not loading up or taking a long time, user may have to use LAYTRANS to export the contents of Layer 0 from the bad drawing to some other drawing. a) Start a new drawing, call it JUNK.DWG, save it and close it. b) In the problem drawing, start LAYTRANS command, select layer 0 on the left side, click LOAD and load JUNK.DWG. Select layer 0 on the right side. c) Select the MAP button. d) Select the TRANSLATE button then the Translate Only option. The window will close. e) At the command prompt, save the drawing then attempt the PURGE command again. f) Make sure when you purge, check the box for "Automatically purge orphaned data". This step could take a while (up to 20 minutes) so be patient. g) Once complete, save the drawing, close AutoCAD then reopen. You should be set. [GAB 4/15/16]

4. Copy the Hcad_Toolbox.dll file from a working machine to the machine that is have the issue. File is located in the C:\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\Programs\Version54 folder. **NOTE** The file version must be copied from the same version of HydraCAD. You CAN NOT copy from one version to another.
