AutoCAD Based Display (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
Command is run, but nothing appears to happen. May get Nil message
Lost dialog window, missing dialog box. Possibly off screen.
Occasionally caused by switching from 2 to 1 monitor, after a display resolution change, or by mouse dragging.
Also possibly a corrupt profile
OPTION #1
RUN THE DDL COMMAND
In HydraCAD v53 or newer, use the menu [HydraTools|Options|Restore Default HydraCAD Dialog locations] (DDL command). You may have to re-open autoCAD to see the results. This command, prior to V57.05, would only work if the user were using the HydraCADV57 profile. With V57.05, if now works on the current user profile, no matter what it is
OPTION #2A
KEYBOARD LOCK THE CURSOR TO THE TITLEBAR
Start the command in question then don't click anything else then unhand your mouse. Then use this keyboard combination
Press ALT+SPACEBAR
Press M
Press RT.ARROW key
Then nudge your mouse and the window should re-appear.
OPTION #2B
SNAP THE DIALOG BOX TO THE SIDE OF THE MONITOR (doesn't work for all dialogs)
1. Start the command in question, don't click anything then unhand your mouse
2. On the keyboard, use the key combination WIN button + RT or LT ARROW a few times, the dialog box may pop into view.
OPTION #3
USE REGEDIT TO DELETE THE KEYS

Use the R values shown below to fill in the ## for the versions of Hydracad and Autocad you are using.
Using REGEDIT, delete the Dialogs key folder found under; HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R##.#\ACAD-?001:409\Profiles\HydraCADVersion##\Dialogs\ ???
R24.0 ACAD 2021 (Hcad v57)
R24.1 ACAD 2022 (Hcad v57)
R24.2 ACAD 2023 (Hcad v57)
R24.3 ACAD 2024 (Hcad v57)
FYI, the riser nipple dialog box is this key;
\HCAD_RnDefGUISettings
Right-click it and click DELETE
If you're missing the Edit Riser Nipple window...
If ALT+SPACEBAR doesn't work, delete the registry key;
Go to this location;
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R2#.#\ACAD-####:409\Profiles\HydraCADVersion##\Dialogs
Right-click and delete this key;
\HCAD_RnDefGUISettings
Dialog window is off screen
