AutoCAD Based Calculations (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
System seems to hang at this step, but eventually shows the error;
Hydraulic Calculation - The system flow demand of ####.## exceeds the maximum rated flow as indicated in the Pump Curve for the pump with the inlet of PI and outlet of PO.
The calculation will not continue Calculation failed for an unknown reason
May not be 1a.3 or 2.3, could be anywhere along here.
Possible the pump is legitimately too small
Insert a larger pump, just to get the Autocalc to run through, then edit the water supply as necessary once you get into the calculation file. [GAB 3/01/19]
If it seems that the flow requirement is MUCH more than what seems normal, check for extra pipe breaks between the two nodes for pump inlet and outlet.
There should be one solid pipe between pump outlet and pump inlet
Note in the image above there are two pipes between PO & PI
This must be one solid pipe between the nodes PO & PI, then
A pump bypass was included so water could get from the source to the flowing heads and not pass through the pump
The water path can only flow through the pump. For the AutoCALC process, remove the pump bypass then re-insert after AutoCALCs are complete
