Description:

When running a Darcy-Weisbach calculation, after changing your k-factor, the program will not ask to Modify K-Factor anymore


The calculation method you have chosen is only a legal calculation method under NFPA 13 rules for anti-freeze systems and requires modified k-factors

Have the k-factors already been modified

Solutions:

Cause:

After changing from 8.0 to 5.6, the k-factor modify window does not ask again and the calc doesn't auto modify it
Solution:

1. Update your k-factors, save the calc, then close HydraCALC

2. In Windows Explorer, find the .WXF file, right-click and use “open with > Notepad”

 


3. Search for the text; DWKFACMODDONE

 

4. Change the value under it from “True” to “False”

 

 

5. Save and close the Notepad file by going to [File|Save] then [File|Exit].  DO NOT JUST CLOSE NOTEPAD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE IN WIN11

 6. Open the calc file and try again. It will ask if the k-factors need adjustment
