AutoCAD Based HydraTools (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Wipeout

Description:

Turn off Wipeout frames was selected (WIPEOUTFRAME = 0) but the drawing still has wipeouts

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

The template chosen had wipeouts. In order for them not to be present, a template without wipeouts must be used.

See the solution to the right to change the blocks in your drawing from 'with wipeouts' to 'without wipeouts'.

Solution:

Decide to either use Wipeouts on ALL drawings, or on NONE. It is tedious to change your mind in the middle of a project, so this decision should be done before starting a project.

In the menu [HydraTools|Options] select "Reset to Classic Blocks " as shown

This replaces blocks in the Version57/Version58 folder with the old-style Non-Wipeout versions, but only apples to NEWLY inserted blocks, not blocks already inserted.  To convert existing blocks, you must After that, start a new drawing using a HydraCAD template without Wipeout in the name [File|New] and use CLASSICINSERT to insert your working drawing into your new, non-wipeout drawing.

You should now have your drawing in a new template without wipeouts.

2.
Cause:

Same as solution above, but without inserting your working drawing into a new drawing but instead by purging the block first.

Solution:

If feasible, you can fix the wipeout issue without inserting your drawing to a new template drawing.  It involves you deleting all of the blocks from the drawing, purging it, then re-inserting the block.

1. Use the WI command to find out the name of the block.

2. Right-click it and select "select similar"

This selects all the REFPT blocks in the drawing.  Press DELETE to erase all from the drawing.

3. Type PURGE, select the block you want to purge, then purge it.  Close out of the Purge menu when finished.

4. Go to the menu [HydraTools|Options] select "Reset to Classic Blocks"

5. Re-insert your block, you'll see no wipeout.
