Standalone HydraCALC (Location)

Description:

When clicking the Calculate button or the OK button from the Pre-Calc Questions window, you get a Runtime-error 5,

Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument

Solutions:

Cause:

Unknown but likely due to info in the Darcy Weisbach Friction Loss Formula boxes

Solution:

Ensure the calculation input STOPS at the anti-freeze loop and includes no water supply piping or water supply information. This calculation should only contain piping containing anti-freeze, it should not contain riser and underground pipe.

Edit the data in Notepad to remove DW info. In Windows Explorer, right-click the .WXF file and open in Notepad.

Search for the text 'darcey' (sic)

See the screen capture below for clarity

a) Change the lines under DARCEYWEISBACH to "No" and the line under DWKFACMODDONE to "False"

b) Delete everything from FLUIDDENSITY to DWRFAC6 and its value under it.

In the image below, the highlighted left side will be deleted, on the right is what the final product will look like including the updates

In Notepad, go to the menu [File|Save as] and add the word "-edit" to the end of the filename. It is not recommended you overwrite the file in the event you delete the wrong line.

Try to run the calc again without DW selected to confirm it works, then try again with DW and its accompanying values entered correctly.
