Revit Based HydraCALC (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Select Remote Area

Description:

Edit Remote Area dialog box is cut off (Can also happen to the main HydraCALC for Revit Setup dialog box)


Solutions:


1.
Cause:

The Revit 2025 update caused an issue with dialog box scaling for anything other than a display scale of 100%

Solution:
  1. Press the Windows button, or click into the Windows search bar
  2. Type the word 'Display' into the search bar, and select 'Display Settings'
  3. After selecting Display Settings, scroll down to the 'Scale & Layout' section, and change Scale to 100%

After following these steps, the dialog box should appear normally on the screen now.


2.
Cause:

The Revit 2025 update caused an issue with dialog box scaling for anything other than a display scale of 100%

Solution:

This error is present in versions 25.1.005 and earlier. A program update will be released to fix this issue. When it's available, follow the steps below to install the update:

  1. Launch Revit and load your project
  2. Press the Setup button and wait for the Update Available button to appear
  3. When asked if you'd like to download the update, select Yes
  4. Close your project, and Revit entirely 
  5. Locate where the file was downloaded to, the default will be your Downloads folder (C:\Users\[Whatever your user account is called]\Downloads)
  6. Either Right click... Extract All or drag the executable out of the .ZIP folder to a different location
  7. Right click the update .exe file and select Run as Administrator
  8. Make sure the drive letter it shows on the update is where your Hydratec for Revit program is installed (For example: C:/)
  9. Click through the next steps to proceed with the update.

Your Hydratec for Revit software should be up-to-date after following these steps.
