Security and Licensing HydraKEY (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Opening Function: Subscription Activation Error Type: Activation Failure

Description:

Subscription cannot be activated at this time.

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

You are currently logged into this subscription with this user account on another machine. You must log out there first before you can log in here.

Solution:

Log out of HydraKEY on your other machine, so you can log into HydraKEY here.    In this example, you can see that the subscription is still in use in the location the user has nicknamed "Trailer".  The nickname is set in the HydraKEY "Log In" dialog and can be changed by you at any time. Be sure to use nicknames that you will recognize for each machine upon which you are using your subscription(s).

2.
Cause:

You've used up the total number of machines you are alloted to register this subscription for your account.  A list of all the machine nicknames you've already registered upon and the subscription number will appear at the end of the error.

HydraKey will also give tell you when you've used up your total number of registered machines.  After this number is hit, you cannot activate the software on any additional machines. On the subscriptions tab, it will show how many out of how many registerable machines you have remaining.  In this example, the user has used up all registrations:

Solution:

The "User Administrator" from your company can reset your registrations back to none so that you can start again with no registered machines.  Your administrator will only be able to do this a very limited number of times.

Before having them do this, be sure to "Log Out" of your subscription on all of your machines that are currently logged in.

To reset your registered machines, your administrator must log into the Hydratec portal at:

https://hydratecinc.com/user/sign-in

After signing in they must find your name in your company's authorization assignments page.

In the grid they must 'uncheck' the assignment between your name and the subscription where you've filled up your total max registrations. Then they must hit "Save Changes"

Then they must re-assign you to the subscription again and hit 'Save Changes'.

Now you may use this subscription on whatever machine you wish. This will use up the first of your available registrations.
