Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Spacing and Layout Function: Insert Sprinklers Error Type: Command Failure for External Command

Description:

Revit could not complete the external command... Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

Solutions:

Cause:

HydraCAD for Revit was not fully or correctly installed, or encountered an error during installation. 
Solution:

Reinstall Hydratec for Revit software.

Get the latest version from the user portal at https://hydratecinc.com/hydratec-portal/downloads/software.

Under Select Software choose HydraCAD Complete (Revit).

You may be asked to sign-in. You will be redirected back to the software downloads page after signing in. 

After installing the software, you may need to run the Setup command from any Ribbon and select Update Available, close Revit again and run updates to bring your Hydatec for Revit software to the latest version. 
2.
Cause:

An imported sprinkler family has a poorly defined System Classification in the family Connector Element which prevents the sprinkler from connecting to a fitting. This error was also encountered while using the Insert All Pipes option
Solution:

Open the family in the family editor and change the System Classification to Global. Once finished, then load the edited family into the project.
