AutoCAD Based Sprinklers (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: FSC Insert

Description:

Error encountered when creating an FSC block... Can appear as either of the two shown below:

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Caused by unfinished Flexible Sprinkler Connection definition.

Solution:
  1.  Open File Explorer and go to: <drive-letter>:\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\Programs\FTG\Flexible Sprinkler Connections\
    • <drive-letter>: where you have hydratec software installed, often the "C" drive.
  2. Inside that folder you will find the following file:
    • “FSC-DefNotComplete.txt”
  3. Open “FSC-DefNotComplete.txt”
    • Overwrite anything inside this file to:
      • 0 - cancel/exit (nothing selected)
  4. Save and close the file
  5. Open the FSC Setup from Autocad, and you should be able to continue.

2.
Cause:

Caused by unfinished Flexible Sprinkler Connection definition.
Error can also appear as message: A Flexible Sprinkler Connection was not completed. Please complete, or delete, this definition and start again.

Solution:

There are two possible solutions, proceed with the 2nd if the 1st does not work:

1.)
The best option is to find and delete that definition.
It should be in the “DETAILS” layer, with a BlockTableRecord of “FSC-DEF”.
You can try hiding all other layers and only have the “DETAILS” layer visible.
Then zoom/scroll way out, enter the “za” command and select “object”, then select anything on the screen, that should zoom into the details. Check and see which one is incomplete, and delete it.

2.)

If the first didn't work, or you couldn't find the definition to delete:
1. Open File Explorer and go to: <drive-letter>:\HES\HydraCAD\Ver50\Programs\FTG\Flexible Sprinkler Connections\

<drive-letter>: where you have hydratec software installed, often the "C" drive.

2. Inside that folder you will find the following files:

  • Open "blocksalreadyinserted.txt" and delete any definitions that match the incomplete definition
  • Delete or Open "FSC-insertdefine.txt" and overwrite everything in here with:
    • 0 - cancel/exit (nothing selected)
  • Delete the file "FSC-DefNotComplete.txt"
