Revit Based Installation (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
When uninstalling Hydratec for Revit, after believing it to be fully removed - this error still appears on Revit startup.
Some files are still left over in Revit's folder location (C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins)
Note: While most installs are typically on the C drive, if you installed Revit on a secondary drive, replace "C" with the correct drive letter.
Navigate to the Revit Addins folder (C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins), and select the year corresponding to the Revit version you are using:
Inside that year's folder, delete the .addin file for any Hydratec for Revit program you see:
When uninstalling next time: It is best to browse to: C:\HES\Hydratec for Revit\Programs (The same caveat applies, if Revit is installed on a different drive, change "C" to the correct drive letter) and run HydratecRevitAddInAssistant.exe and select the Remove buttons for the Ribbons, highlighted below:
After that is done, you can proceed with uninstalling as normal utilizing the Windows Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs feature, etc.
