AutoCAD Based Cleanup (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)
Description:
When starting the Pretty Pipes command, you get an Unhandled Exception error including 'Could not find a part of the path'
Another error may mention blockoffsets.dat
Possibly due to Windows user permissions AND the open drawing on an external drive.
This issue has been observed when the end user did not have admin privileges and AutoCAD was opened by double-clicking the .DWG file via Windows Explorer from an external hard drive/flash drive.
Test the Pretty Pipes command on an new drawing by;
1. Close AutoCAD then open re-AutoCAD from the desktop shortcut
2. Go to the menu [File|New] or CTRL+N then select the "HydraCAD Imperial Default" template. Click OK at the Drawing Setup window.
3. Type TPRO<enter> then select the Pretty Pipes option.
4. Start the Pretty Pipes command.
If it works, open the problem drawing by going to [File|Open] and navigate to the drawing's location to open it. DO NOT go to Windows Explorer and double-click it.
Unknown, but could be due to custom .CUIX file being used instead of the HydraCAD one (hcadwin.cuix).
Upon checking the settings of .DAT, .INI file and the Windows Registry, nothing was pointing to the E:\ drive, yet pretty pipes was looking for the .DAT file in the E:\ drive.
May be a coincidence, but the end user was using a custom .CUIX file on their E:\
Reset AutoCAD to default settings then reload the HydraCAD menus.
1. Go to [Windows START | A | AutoCAD 202x | Reset to Default], and do not backup anything
2. Go to [Windows START | H | Hydratec v50 Software | Configure AutoCAD for HydraCAD v5x] and follow the prompts to get HydraCAD set to out-of-the-box HydraCAD.
