Revit Based HydraCAD (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Button: Tag Pipes Error Type: Command Failure for External Command

Description:

Revit could not complete the External Command... System.NullReferenceException

Solutions:

Cause:

Tag Pipes will not work with the 'Use Stocklisting Tags' option selected. 

Gives the error shown above.
Solution:

The model in question that was getting this error had lots of branchlines with open connectors / open ends. 

To easily fix this issue, Walker the pipe / select the pipe that needs to be fixed, then go to the Modify ribbon in Revit and under the HydraCAD section there, select Cap Open Ends. Check Pipe as the option and apply.
