Standalone HydraLIST (Location)

Button: Process

Description:

After finishing a process in HydraLIST, no report appears afterwards. (HydraVIEW does not open)

Solutions:

1.
Cause:

Windows 11: .HVUF files not associated with HydraVIEW, this can happen when upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, causing some things from our install on Windows 10 to be lost in translation.

Solution:

On your task bar, select the magnifying glass to search, and type: “File extension

Select the “Choose defaults by file type

In this search line, type: “HVUF

The default app will appear to be correct here but in fact it is set incorrectly.

Scroll down and select More apps

Scroll to the bottom of the list and select Look for another app on this PC

Browse to \HES\Common\Ver50 and select HydraVIEW

HydraVIEW should now be associated with the required file extensions, and should now open after a HydraLIST process is performed on a Windows 11 operating system.

2.
Cause:

Windows 10: Operating system likely has a compatibility issue with HydraVIEW

Solution:

In File explorer browse to \HES\Hydlist\VER50\Programs and Right click on the file named “sld_prog.exe

Select Properties (Option is towards the bottom)

Under Properties, select the Compatibility tab (At top, likely 2nd row)

Check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”

In the pull down list select Windows 8

Pick Apply and OK

HydraVIEW should now open after a HydraLIST process is performed on a Windows 10 operating system.
