Button: Add Device Error Type: Command Failure for External Command

Description:

Command failure for external command ... System.IO.FileNotFoundException ... File name 'AWSSDK'

Solutions:

Cause:

The AWSSDK.dll file located at [Install Location]:\HES\hydratec for revit\programs\AWSSDK.dll is out of date and needs to be replaced. 
Solution:

Download the up-to-date file from the sharefile link provided here.

Please note that when downloading, it is possible you'll be warned about the file being a potential virus. These are safe files provided directly from Hydratec. In the instance below, select keep to continue. 

 

Extract the executable from the zipped file, and run it as Administrator. It is recommended you close revit prior to this to avoid any issues.

This will replace the .dll with an updated one in all relevant locations.
