Description:

Calculation stops at Step 1a.4 - calcing total lengths

There is also Runtime error 5 invalid procedure call or argument 

Solutions:

Cause:

A revit version of the standard regional settings issue that many of our European customers have where the separator is set to decimal instead of comma in the Windows Control Panel Regional Settings

Solution:

 Pick Control Panel, Region and Language, Additional Settings. Then, make the Decimal symbol be a period (.) and the Digit grouping symbol be a comma (,)

Cause:

Using pipe size that is not in the HydraCALC database

Solution:

Method 1:

  1. In this case, ¼" schedule 40 pipe is not in the HydraCALC database.
  2. The solution is to find and eliminate the pipe.
  3. Use the node numbers in the Manage ribbon > Inquiry > Select by ID to find the pipe.


 

Method 2:

  1. Divide your project into smaller sections.
  2. If the project has multiple floors, choose a floor and place a "Supply Point" on that floor.
  3. Check if the CALC works with the "Supply Point" in this location.
  4. a.) If the CALC works, this indicates the error is not in that location.
    b.) If the CALC doesn't work refer to method 1.
  5. Continue moving the "Supply Point" back through the project until you find the fitting that is causing the problem.
