Revit Based Installation (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Error Type: 1:

During the install, you get a similar message to this;

Solutions:

Cause:

The install was being run from the .ZIP file.

 

Solution:

If you download a .ZIP file for an update or install, please follow the instructions you're given and make sure to extract the .ZIP file to a new folder.  Then find the install file and run it (usually SETUP.EXE).

 

Either right-click the .ZIP file and select 'Extract All...'

 

Or open the .ZIP file and select 'Extract all'

This will likely create a new folder with a matching name as the .ZIP file.  Go to the new folder and find the install file and run that.
