Locate the MaxLocksPerFile value under the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Jet 4.0 NOTE: If the MaxLocksPerFile value does not exist, you must create it. 3. Decrease the MaxLocksPerFile value. 4. Quit Registry Editor. Solution Number 3 based on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815281 increase to 15000 Set the registry key to MaxLocksPerFile to increase the maximum number of locks per file Click Start, and then click Run. Type regedit, and then click OK. On the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, click Decimal. Modify the value of the Value data box as required, and then click OK.
