3050 Could not lock file. This error could happen any time.

Solution 1 Shut down computer and retry solution 2 based on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305995 WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. 1. From the Windows Start menu, click Run, type Regedt32.exe, and then click OK to start Registry Editor. 2. Locate the MaxLocksPerFile value under the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Jet 4.0 NOTE: If the MaxLocksPerFile value does not exist, you must create it. 3. Decrease the MaxLocksPerFile value. 4. Quit Registry Editor. Solution Number 3 based on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815281 increase to 15000 Set the registry key to MaxLocksPerFile to increase the maximum number of locks per file Click Start, and then click Run. Type regedit, and then click OK.
